چکیده

Background: Corifollitropin alfa (CFA) is a long-acting recombinant follicle-stimulating hormone (rFSH) used for controlled ovarian stimulation (COS). Several studies analyzing the clinical efficacy and safety of CFA compared to daily rFSH during COS have been carried out. The present study offers meta-analysis randomized trials (RCTs) on this topic. Methods: A computerized search published literature was out using PubMed, MEDLINE, Science direct Google Scholar databases. comparison between treatments were investigated only in RCTs. primary endpoint represented by number total oocytes retrieved at ovum pick-up. included analysis pooled together order estimate log odds ratio (OR) or mean difference (MD) along with corresponding 95% confidence intervals (CI) random effects model. heterogeneity evaluated Higgins Chi-square tests. Results: examined twelve RCTs from 2004 date 4980 patients, 2664 receiving 2316 patients COS. Women treated had higher pick-up (MD 0.91, CI [0.34, 1.49], p = 0.001), metaphase II (MII) 1.00, [0.37, 1.62], 0.002) those rFSH. There no significant differences two groups regarding other outcomes analyzed. subgroup performed comparing “normal” versus “poor” responders revealed that normal showed an cancellation rate, respect Conclusions: This shows results

Corifollitropin alfa compared to daily FSH in controlled ovarian stimulation for in vitro fertilization: a meta-analysis

The present study offers a meta-analysis of published randomized controlled trials (RCTs) evaluating the outcomes of in vitro fertilization (IVF) cycles using corifollitropin alfa for controlled ovarian stimulation (COS) in comparison with daily recombinant FSH (rFSH). The study examined seven RCTs including 2138 patients receiving corifollitropin alfa and 1788 women receiving daily rFSH for CO...

Corifollitropin alfa compared with follitropin beta in poor responders undergoing ICSI: a randomized controlled trial.

STUDY QUESTION Does substituting 150 µg corifollitropin alfa for 450 IU follitropin beta during the first 7 days of ovarian stimulation in proven poor responders, result in retrieval of a non-inferior number (<1.5 fewer) of cumulus oocyte complexes (COCs)? SUMMARY ANSWER A single s.c. dose of 150 µg corifollitropin alfa on the first day of ovarian stimulation, followed if necessary, from Day ...
